eg. Niagara Region, Nova Scotia, and Southern British Columbia are in around zones 5 threw 7
the Southern Prairies are from around Zones 3 to 4
when buying expensive plants always check this. Retailers will sell anything, if you are willing to buy it.
a lot of perennials I have are annuals in Calgary. but are sold as perennials anyway in Calgary
always check the Zone and know your zone before you go nuts at the retailers. Agriculture Canada has wonderful info on the subject. For the Americans here so does your Department of Agriculture.
