a Few More Close Ups

Euonymus variegate (Euonymus x intermedia)
This is a climbing variety
Bartlett (European) Pear (Pyrus communis)
A bud from the tree, will open in a few weeks
Rose of Sharron (Hibiscus syriacus)
Dried out seed pods from last year. I find these to be ugly, but they do make great looking close ups
Forsythia x intermedia
Just about to bloom any hour actually

  1. i love rose of sharons sonny.
they grow and increase so well.
my uncle dug up a bunch of plants for us and we had so many that we gave some to the neighbours too.
alas though, we had to plant them on the side of the house and so we rarely see them unless we are driving by!
welland is just full of rose of sharon bushes and they seem to bloom all summer!
the lord is pictured as the rose of sharon sonny.
    Song of Solomon 2:1
"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys"
    we sing in sunday school.
"he's the lily of the valley
    the bright and morning star
he's the fairest of ten thousands to my soul.
