Ruby Tuesday July 20 2010

Another great Ruby Tuesday!!!

A Star-gazer Lily, They are just so beautiful.

Rose of Sharron, These are a favourite of mine. They have a Christian Connotation attached to them.

Here is a light mauve variety of the Rose of Sharron

A Red Admiral Butter-fly visiting a Purple Cone Flower

And here it is again, same Butter-fly on the same plant.

A wonderful Lily, These are so beautiful with curled petals and they are at least 2 meters tall.I did not crouch down for this pic

No red at all here. I posted this because it is my favourite flower pic of the year so far

 And finally a beautiful baby Red Wolf Spider. These guys help to keep the harmful insects at bay, hence a good friend to the garden

    hi sonny...just a quick comment on how lovely these flowers and the butterfly is because at this campsite, the internet is very low!
    i tried to send you some pictures the other day but to no avail!
    oh sonny the bright yellow flowers you grew up with in your childhood when i was your babysitter are just aglow all over manitoba now!
    no sign of the purple flax fields yet but they will be here by the time we return, i am sure.
    i have some really nice albeit sad wheatland and rivers photos for you and will try to post them here after ruby tuesday celebrations are over sonny!

    oh! that last flower looks just like the beautiful sun rays that we are getting in brandon manitoba every day sonny.
    the campsite is called turtle crossing but so far not a turtle in sight...ha!

    Beautiful shots Reg - even that pesky little spider! :)
    I have eleven rose of sharon bushes in my yard and I love them. So do the neighborhood deer unfortunately.

    The lovely pastels of the variety of flora is a visual treat! Summer is a time to admire the flowers. And that spider - keeping the insect vermin away from this beauty. Perhaps the most beautiful ruby today...

    First, thatnk for the comment on my blog. Now for the amazsing thing. Our family will be making a trip to Picton, Ontario in August. We plan to stop and do everything there is to do that an 8 year old would lke to do at Niagra Falls before heading to Picton. Your blog gives us a little glimpse of what we are going to be seeing. That is exciting! Funny how paths cross.

    All of these have their own unique shade of red! Too bad those wolf spiders can't do away with the JApanese beetles. I read your latest post about them. Amazing! Btw, thanks for visiting mt RT post.
