Another Over View


This shot is looking due East. The pond is in amongst all that. This area is the most wild if you like. Everything here is Native Ontario. With few exceptions, for contrast and for some early blooms, however minimal. In the spring it is awesome in that this area is also my tulip nursery. I take all the bulb-lets that I find and plant them in this area. In three years they are the same as the ones you would acquire at the store. This was taken in September

    dear sonny.. a few days ago bernie and our elderly neighbour lady planted tulips, daffodils and crocuses and the squirrels had been getting at them and so we dosed the whole garden with cayenne and hot chili pepper...hopefully that will do the trick, eh?

    Human hair works as well.What I have have done in the past was to get window screan and lay it over the area of the bulbs. They can not chew threw it. The only thing is that you have to remove the screan before the plants start to grow in March. If the ground is still frozen just leave it till you can remove it.
