ReplyDeleteDid you know I did a mural at Brooke School for a competition in Manitoba's Centennial Year, Winners got show their murals. It was large and I actually one for Daly County. It was shown in Winnipeg at the Legislative Building. Big moment for me.

ReplyDeletewhen bernie and i went to manitoba that first year to the base and saw that dear school torn down, it really broke my heart and i guess your mural was torn down with it, eh?
or did it sonny..do you think they still have it it the legeslative building?
Looks like a wonderful first post for Ruby Tuesday. Your red flowers are all stunning.
ReplyDeleteI loved them all but my favorites are the lilies.
Last I was there at the Legislative Building 1991 I asked about that. They where all taken to the Provincial Archives for future showings and preservation at some future event. That is so cool. That mural will last well after I am gone.I did get go and did see it there in 1970 it was in the main lobby with numerous others. Each county had one represented.
ReplyDeleteI had a Red River Cart leaving the East and entering the Red River Valley. The back ground showed small provincial flags of the then Canada being distant in the background and a huge Golden Boy in the foreground with light radiating from it. foreground.
