Two Ruby Tuesdays this week!!!!!

This one is of my yard and Garden. The other is a trip around my town. All taken to-day.

Celui-ci est de mon cour et jardin. L'autre est un voyage autour de ma ville. Toutes les prises de ce jour.

 This is actually an Orange Rose showing up red? Anyway it is called the John Paul II Rose. There are just few buds on this. It did poorly this year as Japaneses beetles got a hold of it and stripped it bare more than once.
C'est en fait une Rose Orange montrant en rouge? Quoi qu'il en soit, il est appelé Jean-Paul II Rose. Il ya seulement quelques bourgeons à ce sujet. Il n'a mal cette année que les coléoptères Japonais a une emprise de celui-ci et dépouillé à nu plus d'une fois.

a Blood Good Japanese Maple. We here live at the Northern limit for these lovely trees. This one is a baby. It will grow to 10 meters or more.

un érable japonais bon sang. Nous voici en direct à la limite nord de ces beaux arbres. Celui-ci est un bébé. Il passera à 10 mètres ou plus.

Sadly I have forgotten what this one is called. It is looking scruffy now and will only get worse from here on in till the snow falls

Malheureusement j'ai oublié ce que celui-ci est appelé. Il est à la recherche scruffy maintenant et ne fera que s'aggraver à partir de maintenant jusqu'à ce que la neige tombe

 This gem is not mine, but rather my next door neighbour's bush. It is called the Burning Bush and for good reason. It is so plain and boring in the summer but as you can see it is amazing this time of year.

Ce bijou n'est pas le mien, mais mon voisin de brousse. C'est ce qu'on appelle le buisson ardent et pour une bonne raison. Il est si simple et ennuyeux dans l'été, mais comme vous pouvez le voir il est étonnant de cette période de l'année.

 It is Election Day here in our fair town and one week before Halloween. So the house is looking a little confusing at the moment. Really though it is the Fall pic with the leaves that I hope grab the attention

Il est le jour des élections ici, dans notre belle ville et une semaine avant l'Halloween. Ainsi, la maison est l'air un peu confus pour le moment. Vraiment si c'est le pic d'automne avec les feuilles que je souhaite attirer l'attention

A Ruby Tuesday in My Town Oct 26th 2010

Here is a short trip threw the town of Dunnville, Ontario Canada. These pic were taken this morning. There is a second post to-day of my gardens as well.

Voici un court voyage jeta la ville de Dunnville, en Ontario, Canada. Ces pic ont été prises ce matin. Il ya un deuxième poste le jour de mes jardins

One of our town clocks. This one faces the Grand River. It is beautifully gardened in the summer.

Un de nos horloges ville. Celui-ci fait face à la rivière Grand. Il est orné de magnifiques jardins en été.

I should mention here that the clock was stopped the other day for the year. So that was not the time I took this pic 
 

This is Queen Street in Dunnville. Almost the whole street was built up in the 1880's.

C'est la rue Queen à Dunnville. Presque toute la rue a été construite dans les années 1880.

A Dunnville sign as you enter the town proper. We fly the American Flag as well because we have a lot of Americans living here and the USA border is only 30 km away in Lake Erie, as the bird flies.

Un signe Dunnville que vous entrez dans la ville proprement dite. Nous volons le drapeau américain ainsi parce que nous avons beaucoup d'Américains qui vivent ici et la frontière américaine est à seulement 30 km dans le lac Érié.

There was an accident in town to-day. So here are two pics of part of the rescue team.

Il s'agissait d'un accident dans la ville aujourd'hui. Donc, voici deux photos d'une partie de l'équipe de sauvetage.

This is a neighbour of mine. The trees were outstanding the other day. To-day is a rain day so a lot of leaves came down. I still think it is nice even though the drama of it is diminished.

 C'est un de mes voisins. Les arbres étaient en circulation, l'autre jour. Aujourd'hui est un jour de pluie de sorte que beaucoup de feuilles est descendu. Je pense toujours que c'est agréable même si le drame de celui-ci est diminuée.

To-day is election day in our town so the signs are up and running !!!! Here is another neighbour's home. I am sure they did not expect so many signs on their lawn.They made the mistake of saying yes to every one

C'est aujourd'hui le jour des élections dans notre ville si les signes sont en marche!! Voici un autre voisin. Je suis sûr qu'ils ne s'attendaient pas à tant de signes sur leur lawn.They fait l'erreur de dire oui à tout le monde

This is on the side of a store and it is called "Hands Around the World". It was made by School Kids.

C'est sur le côté d'un magasin et il est appelé "Hands Around the World". Il a été fait par les écoliers.

Some of the Office Towers in the down town. Toronto to-day has a population of 3,000,000 in the city proper, and close to 6,000,000 in the Metro area. This makes Toronto to-day by far the largest city in Canada. Montreal has about 2,000,000 in it's city proper and it's Metro area is at 3,500,000 making it the second largest.

Certains des tours à bureaux dans la ville vers le bas. Toronto le jour a une population de 3.000.000 dans la ville proprement dite, et près de 6.000.000 dans la région métropolitaine. Ce qui fait de Toronto le jour de loin la plus grande ville au Canada. Montréal dispose d'environ 2.000.000 dans sa ville proprement dite et sa zone de métro est à 3.500.000 ce qui en fait la deuxième plus grande.

 This is the new City Hall in Toronto completed in 1966, I think along with the CN Tower it is the most famous city land mark.

Il s'agit du nouvel hôtel de ville de Toronto a terminé en 1966, je pense avec la Tour CN est la marque de la ville la plus célèbre des terres.

This is the old City Hall, Now a Court House. Back in the 1960's it was decided to destroy the old building which was constructed in the 1880's. The people of the city loved this old girl and literally stopped the demolition ball from being used. A great and beautiful building was saved.

 C'est l'ancienne mairie, est maintenant un palais de justice. Retour dans les années 1960 il a été décidé de détruire l'ancien bâtiment qui a été construit dans les années 1880. Les habitants de la ville ont ajouté cette vieille fille et littéralement arrêté la balle de démolition d'être utilisé. Un bâtiment grand et beau a été enregistré.

 The Ontario Legislative Building in Toronto. This was finished in around 1903. after a fire took out the west wing of the building. I personally do not like the look of it but still very beautiful in side. The statue is of Sir John A. MacDonald the first Prime Minister of Canada. He was born in Scotland by the way.

La construction législative de l'Ontario à Toronto. Ce fut terminé en autour de 1903. après un incendie a pris sur l'aile ouest du bâtiment. Personnellement, je n'aime pas le look de celui-ci mais toujours très beau dans le côté. La statue est de Sir John A. MacDonald le premier Premier ministre du Canada. Il est né en Ecosse en passant.

 

The Toronto sky line. This is from Lake Ontario and looking North. I hope that you all enjoyed the Part 2 of the this look at Toronto, The city is 95 km due north of where I live across the Niagara Peninsula and Lake Ontario. I live on the north shore of Lake Erie.

J'espère que vous avez tous apprécié la partie 2 de la comparer cela à Toronto, la ville est de 95 km au nord en raison de l'endroit où je vis à travers la péninsule du Niagara et le lac Ontario. J'habite sur la rive nord du lac Érié.

Fall has arrived in my Garden

Here at my kitchen side door is more Fall going on. Tree clean up, and lots of leaves from my huge Maple in the front lawn.

It is Election Time here in the City of Haldimand County. I am doing my part for democracy!!! We have these every 4 years, at the end of October.
As you can see we are really enjoying the Fall. Lots of leaves every where. My big Sugar Maple is just to the right of the picture and it is over 30 meters tall.

Sedem Autumn Joy, and a Lady Bug ( for the Europeans the Lady Bird Beatles). These flower heads will last till spring if I let them stay. However  I will put them with every thing else into the compost pile, next week.

Here are a few Euonymus berries, from the Emerald Gaiety variety. They will stay on the bush till spring and then drop off. These are a truly lovely fruit with their orange blown out part, and the white to pink main parts. Sadly they are about the size of peas.

Finally for this post a pic of my pond with the fall colours going on.The large yellow plant is a Hosta. Frost has hit this garden the other night. So now it really has this season's look all over it. Next week comes the big clean up. That will take me days to do it.

The Milkweed seed pod opening

The Milkweed is now seeding as seen here. I love these in the garden. It is a nice plant and easy to control in the garden setting. The main reason I have them is due to the Monarch Butterfly. They need this plant for the young as it is the only thing they eat. I think these are rather dreamy looking when they bursting open

and finally here is one with the wind just catching it and started moving the seeds clear of the pod.

some Fall pics of the Garden

Virginia Creeper, This is a great plant in the garden. It hides an old telephone-hydro pole, that used to run along our back yards years ago. Not shown here though is a Bird house on the top.

The PG Hydrangea, It is an awesome plant. The best flower heads have been used for indoor flower arrangements already. The best showing for these are in August when the flower heads are pure white.

Here is an over view of part of the garden looking from the house. It is a jungle back there !!!!!

Here is an over view from the back looking up towards the house. It is interesting this time of year as every thing is now changing, and quickly I might add.

and finally for this posting a few of the fish. Gold fish and Koi are seen here. I just changed the water so they will have a good fresh start for the winter. They stay in the pond for the winter. The big thing is as long as they have an opening in the ice and some water flow they will be just fine.

Yesterday I was reading about Joseph Goebbels  Children. If you remember they were killed by their Mother on May 1st 1945 in the Bunker at Berlin. The oldest was 13 and the youngest 4.  five girls and one boy.
Then I went to You tube to watch some real footage of that event. I was shocked at what I read in some comments. Hate and Violence wished on these children was horrible. Some went as far as to say they deserved to die because of the parents and who they were. How much more we need to learn about Jesus and the reading from Christ. I am certain that these children are with the Lord. I am in favour that one day these children will get a funeral, and a monument. They done no wrong. People who do push hate and mistrust should learn to love them selves and the lord before all else that they are consumed in.

This is First Canadian Place, It is being renovated until the Fall 2011, with a new skirt. At the moment it is made of Marble and is the largest marble faced building in the world. It is being replaced with a white glass finish

 C'est la First Canadian Place, Il est en cours de rénovation jusqu'à l'automne 2011, avec une nouvelle jupe. À l'heure actuelle il est fait de marbre et est le plus grand bâtiment de marbre face dans le monde. Il est remplacé avec une finition en verre blanc
